Weight★No★More Diet Center wanted a customized redesign solution for their website that included amongst the functionality, the ability to post and categorize recipes for their clients as well as an online weight loss diary form that mimicked their paper diary form.

The Problem

The initial issue with the redesign was the tremendous amount of content that needed to be transferred from a legacy website into the new site. The client also wanted the site to work with existing artwork, specifically the caricatures. The design needed to be fun but professional.

We also had to address the posting of over one hundred pdf recipes that have been added to the site since the original launch. As well as a new function, to be able to include links to web based recipes all within the same list. This list had to be organized into Program level, as well as main ingredient. The client also requested that as new recipes are posted, a "new" indicator appear for a limited time.

Weight★No★More Diet Center uses a weekly diary form for their client meetings. They wanted a way to have their clients to be able to save, print and store the forms as well as access them at a later date to pre-populate a current form. They also wanted it to work with or without the client having to create a login prior to use.

There is a client onboarding form on the site and customized blog layout as well.

The Solution

For the recipe section of the site, we created a custom plugin where the client can either upload a pdf recipe or add a URL to a website for the recipe. The recipes are tagged in the admin section and the site automatically adds the recipe to the correct page and section. All new recipes are also marked "new" then after 30 days, the "new" indicator is removed.

The client wanted a different style for displaying the blog posts. We created a style where the months would display as the new blog posts were created and the months were clickable to reveal the blogs for that month. As the year changes, the list resets automatically.
